Family Celebration on Sunday, December 19, 2010
This weekend we traveled to celebrate Christmas with my dad's side of the family--what a great time! Of course, it is mostly all about playing. I have "my room" with a closet of toys. And, Nanny just does not seem to get tired of playing with me. We also exchanged presents, and I got some cool gifts from my grandparents and aunt, including a new rocking chair, a race track mat, and one of my favorites is this Viewmaster. My mom says that she used to have one just like it! Thank you for a great weekend and for all of my wonderful presents, but most importantly just spending time together.

A Little Icy on Tuesday, December 14, 2010
Well, it is a little icy today and chilly and windy. But, I am really talking about the ICE at National Harbor. On Sunday, we went to National Harbor to see the spectacular ice sculpture display of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I think some of the artistry was lost on me, but I had fun putting on the big warm coat and walking through the displays that felt more like mazes (I am into mazes these days). Most impressive was the fountain show in the Gaylord. I even lost interest in the train to watch and feel the water fountains that shot up to over 60 feet high.

From My Point of View on Sunday, December 5, 2010
It is usually my mom who
takes the pictures, but lately I have enjoyed getting behind the camera. Here are a few recent shots that I took. On Sunday we enjoyed a chilly yet refreshing morning at the Gulf Branch Nature Center and Park. He hiked around, visited Santa in his
log house, and intently watched train sets circle the Christmas tree inside the Nature Center. The train really caught my eye; I wanted to take it home. And, since I have asked to have one in our home. Hmmm, perhaps I should ask Santa.

The Holiday Season on Friday, December 3, 2010
I have been caught up in the holiday season! It all started last Thursday on a lovely Thanksgiving day. I spent the day at my grandparents doing one of my favorite things, 'ordering' Nanny to play with me. My mom thinks I am too demanding, but Nanny assures us that she loves it. She did take a few breaks to put together a wonderful Thanksgiving meal! The next day, I headed to the beach to catch up with the other side of the family and some Thanksgiving leftovers. We went to OC's Winterfest--first stopping at Candy Kitchen and then on to see the lights, visit with Santa, and drink the obligatory hot chocolate. This all passed in a blink as I just love being in the presence of all of my cousins! If that was not enough holiday cheer, this week we took the train to NYC. The big highlights of the trip were the train ride, especially when Moppy and Pop boarded in Wilmington, and then Times Square. Times Square boasts the LOTS of lights, "the words", and the big "disco ball" hanging very high on a skyscaper ready for New Year's Eve. And, I close with one more adventure of the week, a trip to see the most amazing Santa ever. You can't help but want to get in his lap and smile!
