First Ever Sleepover on Saturday, December 1, 2012

Another reason for my extreme excitement on this December 1 is that I am participating in my first ever, "solitary" sleepover. I am spending the night at Jack's house! We are actually making a trade: Eva and Layne are headed to do some shopping with my mom, while I get to hang out with Jack, Uncle Dave, and Aunt Annie. More details soon! But, the exchange of text messages and pictures reveal fun by all!

Giving Thanks and the Opening of the Christmas Season on Saturday, December 1, 2012

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Cheseapeake. Nanny prepared a wonderful meal and even the Redskins won! But, I was not feeling quite myself and our holiday was cut a bit short. Nonetheless, it was wonderful to spend time with my grandparents and aunt. I am so thankful for all of my family!

With a little time on our hands back and home, we starting getting into the Christmas spirit. We put up our little tree, and I happily took over the decorating. I talked about each ornament and asked questions about them. I loved looping the garland around the tree, and we set up my Polar Express train. And, by Sunday I was pretty much back to my ol' self, so we went to the Botanical Gardens to see my favorite train display set within wonderful plants, foliage, and woodland sculptures. We also visited Shirlington and their beautiful lights and Christmas tree.

At school this week, our theme was advent, and I woke up everyday asking if it was December 1, so I could start my advent calendars and have my school Christmas party. Finally, December 1 arrived (one might have thought it was Christmas day with my 5:30 am wake up). This morning at my Christmas party, there were crafts and snacks (Hershey kisses in particular, which Nicholas and I secretly raided throughout the morning). And, we had our singalong featured in a few videos below.
