Showing Off DC

The Wolcott family came to stay with us for a week.  They brought me a cool wall track--Rotation Arm Revolution!  Adam went to a baseball game, and Bailey stayed back with me and played miniature golf one night.  They left on Saturday.  They were pretty fun to play with.

Off to Camp

I am going to Potomac Day Camp.  It is really fun. You get to go swimming everyday and we have Super Hero day.  We have Pirate Day.

Back in Town

We went canoeing on the Potomac River. Along the way, I ate three pieces of gum.  We paddled to Roosevelt Island.

Wrapping Up Some Beach Time

I had a great week with Jack.  We spent a lot of time working on Legos and making new creations (no directions!).  On one of our last days we went to James Farm. We could walk out really far in the bay.

Jersey Boys

On Thursday, we went to Cape May, NJ on the ferry.  We played lots of video games on the ferry.  We were Jersey Boys!  Then we went to the zoo.  We liked the red panda and the bison. No giraffe, giraffe baby, or lion--a bit of a letdown.  We survived a bit of rain.  We also checked out the Cape May beach (and of course had some ice cream).

Trapp Pond

We went to Trapp Pond Park.  We pedal boated into a cypress swamp and forest.  It was cool, but it felt like our legs were going to blow up after all of that pedaling.

Fun with Science

Science, I never knew it could be so fun. We went to a library program.  "John" told us stories about Doolittle because he was a Scienceteller. He used dry ice to do some amazing experiments, like making bubbles using a PVC shower head.
Later, we did our own ice experiment--making a snowball disappear at Bonkey's.

Jack and Me

We spent some time at the pool.
We also went to Jungle Jim's in Rehoboth.  We rode bumper boats (we creamed everybody on bumper boats).  We played mini golf on the Fallen Tree course.  We had a great time on go-carts.  We did eight laps.

Happy July 5th!

The Bethany Beach fireworks display was awesome! My favorite was the Grand Finale. Jack and I also liked the curley Qs and the rapid fire fireworks.

Happy 4th!

The 4th of July was cancelled so we did the 5th of July for the big fireworks (more about that later).  Because of the rain, we stayed inside and did a puzzle (with 550 pieces!) and made a fireworks shop.  The rain ended midday, and we were able to do our own fireworks.

Pirates and Rockets

First we went to the story hour at Bethany Books.  I made a pirate patch and listened to Pirate vs. Pirate.  Pirate vs. Pirate is so cool; there is this one pirate called Bad Bart and another pirate called Mean Mo.  The story goes on where they keep fighting to see who is the best pirate, until finally they got married.

Later we went to Chincoteague Island and went to Wallops Island NASA Museum. I saw some rockets and rocket science.  We saw a video of a rocket launch.  I ate a big ice cream cone and got to hang out with Jack.

Ocean Time

I surfed the waves big time.  This is how I surf the waves:  I went out pretty far and waited for a light wave, not a big one, then I jumped on the curve part of the wave and rode the wave!  Sometimes, I wiped out.  One time, I rode the wave, then I went down hill a little bit and crashed onto the sand. I got a little hurt when a wave crashed back down on me. I was okay!  It was still amazing. Time to wrap this up; good bye.
