Greatest Show on Earth on Sunday, March 27, 2011
I had a weekend of toddler culture--a play on Saturday and the circus on
Sunday. My parents gave me a big thumbs up for my listening and sitting skills. The circus was pretty awesome--my favorite: the trapeze artists! Especially when they jumped down in the bouncy net, like a trampoline. I also liked the motorcycles spinning in the big wheel. There were seven of them going all around together. Whoa! And, of course, I enjoyed the Metro ride downtown to the arena. I am sorry to see the weekend come to an end. We filled it so, even squeezing in some playing time at the park this evening. Though the day started with a dusting of snow, which I was excited to stomp around in this morning, it warmed up to a balmy 45 degrees. Warm enough for the park! And, now good night. Back to work and school tomorrow.

Perfect Smile on Thursday, March 17, 2011
Nothing says St. Patrick's Day like a trip to the dentist and then a reward visit to Toby's for a chocolate donut! I was a champ at the dentist, first enjoying the indoor jungle gym and slide in the waiting room. The big dentist chair was pretty neat too--went up and down. During the cleaning, I kept my mouth open nice and wide and sat fairly still. The dentist gave me a thumbs up and was happy to report no "sugar bugs" in my mouth. A perfect smile! Though, I have to say that I was a little disappointed in my prize at the end of the visit. My buddy Ronan told me that at his dentist he got a special gold coin that he put in a big machine and out came a cool bouncy ball... All I got was a toothbrush and dental floss. We may go to Ronan's dentist next time!

Sun and Fun on Friday, March 4, 2011
I am just back from six days in Florida. Sadly, Daddy stayed back to work, but I had a GREAT time with Mommy, Moppy, and Pop. And, it was a bonus to spend time with my Aunt Mary and Uncle Doug, Florida residents and experts on the Florida ecology. For example, Uncle Doug found this great tree frog, hidden on a stairwell, and visiting "Limey" became one of the highlights of the trip. Other highlights included sunning, running, pushing cars through the sand, visiting other Florida creatures, eating Krispy Kremes each morning, and enjoying the resort facilities, including the pool table, Game Room, and Maze Zone (not to mention the golf courses, pool, and spa). We've already booked our trip for next year!

The Many Faces of Will on Monday, February 28, 2011
I am becoming more and more like my daddy--my facial expressions say it all! Here are a few faces while enjoying some R&R in Florida (more about my vacation soon).
Utter Disappointment:
Upon being told that I could not play golf out on the beautiful green.

Rain, Rain Go Away on Friday, February 25, 2011
This has been an especially wiggly week with lots of eating (and groaning in my sleep at night). Must be a growth spurt! So, today on this rainy morning, we headed to Tumble Zone with buddy, Trevor. Great place to work out those wiggles. And, as we emerged out of the basement, no windowed play area, the rain was gone! Got a little outdoor playing in before it was off to a nap!

Jumping for Joy on Sunday, February 13, 2011
Today we celebrated our family's four February birthdays. Always a good time. In fact, a jumpin' good time. Or, maybe that was just all of the Valentine's candy that I ingested!

Melting Snow on Wednesday, February 2, 2011
As I write, the snow is melting quickly and turning into wonderful slush and mud puddles. We just missed the snow of the season, and our warm thoughts go out to our New York and New England readers. But, before it all melted, we got in some more sled riding in our back yard and side yard. The slight hills are perfect for me this year. Take a look!

Playing, Trains and Automobiles on Saturday, January 29, 2011
This Saturday's adventure was a ride on the Metro to the Washington Auto Show. I don't know which one was more fun. The Metro is simply one of my favorite things. Typically, it is the topic of choice for my nighttime bedtime story. After my books, I turn out the light, cuddle in bed, and ask for the "Story of the Metro" (with sound effects). So, today's trip, complete with transfer points, will make for a good tale tonight! Next, the Auto Show proved to be quite the young boy's dream--cars as far as I could see. I was able to get into them all, push buttons, steer wheels, open sun roofs, and turn dials. I think my favorite was the Honda Odyssey minivan. So much room to move around! The Chevy Volt was pretty cool, too.

Accumulation on Wednesday, January 26, 2011
The snow started this evening and has been coming down in force, along with some thunder and lightning, too. But, we just could not wait until morning to check it out. We were only going to go for a walk down the street but we ended up doing some sled riding, shoveling, playing, and more! Can't wait for more snow fun tomorrow.

The Best Morning on Tuesday, January 25, 2011
After a long holiday break (extended by snow days), I am back to the gym for the winter session of tumbling class. Felt so good to run, jump, bounce, stretch, roll, and run some more! And, with a slight warm up outside, I rode my tricycle around the park after class. All of that called for a double decker peanut butter chocolate ganache cookie at nearby Big Buns Bakery. Yum! My favorite part was the company--Moppy and Pop were in town to share this best morning.

Inside Activities on Tuesday, January 18, 2011
The snow totals this winter have not amounted to much around here. More of an inconvenience than anything too fun. Today we woke to a layer of ice, and all activities canceled. Ugh, house bound. So, we got creative! Among other activities, pudding painting... (video unedited, sorry, too long but you get a big smile at the end).

A Holiday Weekend on Monday, January 17, 2011
The deeper meaning of a long holiday weekend is a bit lost on me as I pause for little these days except my dedicated nap time. Other than those precious hours it is go, go, go. So, to me, a holiday weekend means more daddy time, which I think is a pretty acceptable way to spend a special weekend. Like this morning, we visited the National Aquarium--a small, basement museum dwarfed by the bigger Smithsonians in downtown DC but not to be missed. I enjoyed the creatures, little and big, fluid and bumpy. It was also great fun to run the circular layout of the displays. And, I found the "play room", actually the gift shop, to be quite entertaining as well. Now, rejuvenated after my nap, I am off to the Tumble Playzone to show my dad yet another fun time.

Happy New Year! on Saturday, January 1, 2011
Happy new year! Here are a few captured moments from my fabulous Christmas and week following. The tricycle was my favorite present from Santa; I am now a pedaling pro! And, we traveled to the beach for snow and holiday cheer; we only got a dusting at home. So many wonderful memories--thank you to my family and friends for helping me create them.
