Playing with Elise

Elise and her family spent the weekend with us.  Elise got a hermit crab, too.  Including Emma.  Elise's crab is named Super Criddy. Emma's crab is named Flounder (or Flower).
"Why does it have to be named Flower?" said Will.
"Because I said so!" yelled Emma.

We played in the ocean, played at the pool, set up a store, got up early together, and rode bikes.  Time to wrap this up.  More tomorrow. Byeeeeeee.

(We did this for hours on Sunday morning!

Introducing Shiny the Hermit Crab

Shiny is a hermit crab that I got at a hermit crab place on the boardwalk.  His address is 912 Crab Way at Crab Cove.  His shell is painted with a Batman logo.  I named him Shiny because when I look at him he is shiny.  I take care of him by giving him food and water every day.  Is the sponge still wet?  That is how I give him water.

Catching Up

Last week I got to have a sleepover with Moppy and Pop while my mom returned to Virginia for a conference.  We went to the library and got John Deere videos.  Actually I did not know about the videos but they are really cool.  There was a juggler there at the library.  I liked him but didn't want to watch him too much, so we went home.  We also saw a wizard that played guitar at the library.  Thanks Moppy and Pop for taking care of me.

Bonkers for Bonkey's

We went to Bonkey's, and we went bonkers!  I was in my bathing suit so the blue raspberry ice wouldn't appear on my shirt.  I love Bonkey's because they sell two things--ice cream and flavored ice.

Beach Boys

Yesterday I had fun with Caleb and Cole. We played together with Hot Wheels big time. We went to the beach. And, we had fun at Grotto's playing awesome games.
All perfect beach days need to end with ice cream.

Summer Starts!

For six years, my mom has written this blog, taking liberties and using my first person voice.  It is now time that I take over (with the help of my mom's typing fingers).  So, summer is here, and we will attempt to keep up with this blog as my summer journal.  Here goes!

Yesterday, I colored the pigeon's airport with Moppy.  We also colored the paper bus. I did a lot of bike riding.  Even, I went over a jump!

Today, my friend Caleb is coming over for a play date at the beach.  He is going to like playing with Hot Wheels.  I created this circuit this morning.

Kindergarten was awesome!

I had a wonderful Kindergarten year.  In fact, I was sorry to see it come to an end.  Some of my favorite things about Kindergarten included:  my friends, Space Camp, my teachers, free choice time, P.E., Spanish, assemblies, and visits with the librarians.  See some highlights of my last day of school.

Happy Halloween! on October 31, 2013

Happy Halloween!  I was a transformer by day and a ninja by night.  For school, we completed lots of Halloween-themed learning activities, and then I participated in the school parade.  We walked through the Sunrise Assisted Living facility, which is located next to our school.  We must have been quite a sight--all 600 of us!  I decided to wear my Transformers costume to school because I did not want to get my ninja costume dirty before the big night, and my teacher told us students that we could not wear masks or dress in any costume that was violent.  I certainly wanted to obey her rule.

Trick or treating was awesome.  We went to a few houses on my street, picked up our neighbor, Thomas, and went one street over where there are higher volume houses.  I almost made it up and down Larrimore Street before I said that I was done for the evening.  Plus, my bag was pretty full.  And, I was eager to get home to do some sorting (and eating).

Super School Days on October 15, 2013

School is great!  I have settled in wonderfully, and happily go off to school each day.  I have great friends--those in my class, others I see on the playground, neighbors I see around the school, and my extended day friends.  I yell out hello to one and all!

In the classroom, we are busy studying all subjects.  We just completed learning about South America, and we had South America Day and visited the rainforest, complete with a flight and different activities including crossing the Amazon River, sneaking past sleeping panthers, and meeting real live snakes.  We also are busy with math, writing, reading, Spanish, art, music, P.E., and library time.  I love Spanish!  And, each week I share new words and phrases with excellent pronunciation if I say so myself.  I roll my r's quite adeptly.

We have been enjoying a mild October, so I enjoy my walks to and from school.  We even had a special "Walk to School" Day.  I like our school assemblies and rallies.  We all dress in red, and the Ashlawn Eagle makes special appearances.
Diligently completing homework.

Where is Fall? on October 5, 2013

The pumpkin patch was full, so it certainly looked like autumn.  However, it was almost ninety degrees as we enjoyed a day at Great Country Farm.  My mom had to chuckle as I looked pretty big in the corn bin, but I loved it just the same.  I also enjoyed riding the cow train and the scooter carts.  As a special treat, Mr. Knick Knack was there performing, and he was so happy to see me.  And, we found some great pumpkins!

Precious Weekends on September 27, 2013

Now that I am in school, all day, Monday through Friday, weekends are precious!  I get to catch up with friends and cousins.  I hang with a neighbor friend, Thomas.  I play soccer.  But, most of all, I catch up on my playing time--setting up tracks and roads, rolling cars, spying, playing Legos, and trying to convince my mom it is okay to play with weapons.

The First Day of School Report on September 5, 2013

It was over stupendous! I had a great first day. It was filled with learning routines and meeting new people. I bought a chocolate milk in the cafeteria. And, I learned some Spanish. After school, I gave the full report while I sipped the annual first day of school treat, a slurpee. And then, I had to complete my first homework. What a day!
