and it is even more conveniently located. I have a feeling we will be visiting often now that the weather is getting colder. We also enjoyed some live music in the new Westover Beer Garden. A great afternoon! And, just as it got dark, Daddy and I made the rounds around the neighborhood. Naomi and Don filled my bag with Three Musketeer bars! Jerry pulled some dark chocolate bars out of his freezer (I think I will give those to Moppy and Pop), and Jim and Christine had more candy and oohs and aahs. After climbing all of those steps along our street, I was more then ready to close out the day. And, even with Daylight Savings Time, I slept in on Sunday morning. Here you will find my official Halloween portrait :) My mom could not resist my smile in spite of the faux fall background.Sunday, November 1, 2009
Halloween Happiness on Saturday, October 31
Happy Halloween! What a day! A little drizzle did not stop us from partaking in many activities around the neighborhood, all culminating in the anticipated trick-or-treating. We started with our neighborhood's annual Halloween parade (see video). The parade ended at Mace Park, where there were lots of games and goodies. But, all I wanted to do was throw rocks down by the stream. After a great afternoon nap, we went to our local library's grand re-opening. The Westover Library branch has been relocated and is now attached to the Walter Reed Elementary School. It is a beautiful building with lots of windows,
