Playing and Pedaling on Sunday, March 12, 2012

Spring-like temperatures, lots of playing and pedaling, and a lost hour--we are all yawning this Sunday evening. This afternoon and evening we pedaled all the way to Shirlington (eight mile round trip--yeah!). We have been stretching our trips a bit farther each time over the last two weeks. So fun! We are having a great time on the bikes. Of course by riding to Shirlington, we were able to reward ourselves with milkshakes! This weekend we also enjoyed an instrument petting zoo and orchestra (well, just the trombone and violin) performance at the Kennedy Center. Not only did I get to try out lots of different instruments, but I was lulled by the violin, especially. Though for playing instruments myself, the louder the better!
