Feeling a Little Green on Sunday, March 18, 2012

Despite being feverish and a bit under the weather, it was hard to stay down on such a beautiful weekend! I started to rally last night and enjoyed some time in the park, scooting, throwing rocks, and climbing. And, though I did not catch sight of him, a mischievous leprechaun left treats and other green evidence of his visit. This morning we were up and out to enjoy the cherry blossoms in their early bloom. The mall offered a new course for my scooter. Despite our early arrival downtown, I had to be careful to weave in and out of the crowds and avoid a dunk in the tidal basin. Though fog and dampness, the cherry blossoms were lovely! We also had a good time eating our way through the weekend--breakfast burritos (and pool) at Spider Kelly's, green bagels at Bruggers (though I still prefer my pumpernickel), and pizza in the shape of a shark (by request) at Vapianos. Not much gets me down!
